In October, Agrosuper’s Rosario plant was visited by the Mexican Ambassador to Chile, Laura Moreno, her Head of Foreign Affairs, Carlos Mendoza, and the Press Officer, Enrique Romero. During their visit, the foreign representatives were able to get a close look at each stage of the plant’s value chain and see for themselves the high standards that the plant meets to export products to more than 60 countries.
The Mexican delegation’s visit was a key opportunity to share experiences and explore new opportunities for collaboration between the two countries. The diplomatic tour saw the participation of representatives from Agrosuper: Guillermo Díaz Del Rio, General Manager; Rafael Priteo, Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Manager; Vicente Ruiz Tagle, Public Affairs Leader; and Andrés Burgos, Mexico Country Manager, as well as representatives from ChileCarne: Francisco Lorenzo, Head of Foreign Trade and Industrial Area; and Sofía Alessandri, Head of Foreign Trade.
At a time when Agrosuper seeks to strengthen its commitment to exports, meetings of this kind offer a direct opportunity to meet representatives of the markets where its products are sold. This makes it easier to understand the specific needs of each destination, which is essential to advance in the search for major trade agreements.
Ambassador Moreno highlighted the company’s commitment to quality and sustainability in its production processes. During their tour of the Rosario Plant, both she and Enrique Romero noted the stringent controls in place to ensure compliance with the international standards required in global markets. They also expressed interest in the innovative processes and biosecurity measures that have been implemented, which strengthen the plant’s reputation as a leader in the export industry.
Agrosuper emphasized the importance of this kind of visit, which not only strengthens ties with representatives from strategic markets, but also opens the way for potential commercial partnerships.
Mexico is the second largest market for Chilean poultry meat exports, and therefore these types of initiatives help to strengthen the trade relationship between the two countries.
