The seminar, organized by Novagri, brought together stakeholders across the pork and poultry production chain to address market trends and sector challenges. The President of ChileCarne, Juan Carlos Domínguez, shared his outlook on the pork and poultry market and the challenges the sector will face in the coming years.
Representatives from companies and stakeholders involved in animal production attended the 2026 Novalink Seminar, which was organized by Novagri, a company specializing in technological solutions, equipment, and services for swine and poultry production in Latin America. The event took place on March 11 in Santiago, Chile, and brought together company representatives, suppliers, and strategic and technological partners to analyze the sector’s progress and share perspectives on the main challenges that will shape its growth in the coming years.
Novalink has become a meeting point for the sector’s producers and professionals to share experiences and analyze the trends and innovations that are shaping swine and poultry production.
The President of ChileCarne, Juan Carlos Domínguez, shared insights on the pork and poultry market, addressing both the opportunities and challenges the industry faces in an increasingly demanding global environment.
Factors influencing the sector’s growth
In his presentation, Domínguez discussed the key factors influencing the sector’s growth, such as the evolution of global protein demand, the dynamism of international markets, and the health conditions that affect the trade of animal products.
He also stressed the importance of maintaining high production and health standards, not only because of the requirements of destination markets but also as a critical element in safeguarding consumer confidence and long-term sustainability.
Domínguez said the sector faces an increasingly competitive environment in which productive efficiency, technological innovation, and adaptation to new regulatory and environmental requirements will determine its future.
“The meat industry operates in a highly dynamic global environment, where competitiveness depends on our ability to adapt to new health, environmental, and market demands. Forums like Novalink are fundamental for sharing experiences, aligning visions, and strengthening collaboration among the various actors in the production chain,” he noted.
Novagri praised the presentation by ChileCarne’s President, highlighting its relevance to attendees. The company’s CEO, Eduardo de la Maza, noted that “we appreciate having this presentation at our 2026 Novalink, sharing an outlook on the poultry and swine market with teams from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Colombia, as well as strategic and technological partners. The meeting brought together professionals from 13 countries interested in the poultry and swine industry and its focus on quality, safety, and competitiveness in the international market.”
The seminar was also an opportunity for dialogue among suppliers, producers, and specialists, covering topics such as innovation, efficient production, animal health, and sustainability, which are increasingly relevant to animal protein production.
In a scenario marked by shifting consumption patterns, growing demand for sustainability, and the opening of new markets, this type of meeting becomes especially relevant for strengthening coordination among the various actors in the production chain, enabling them to move forward together and address the sector’s global challenges.
